Fun Event Idea: A Sugar HighTalk about raising the bar on creativity. When faced with the challenge of creating something new for a party at which other caterers (the toughest crowd to please) would be present, Someone’s in the Kitchen rose to the challenge. After an all-tray-passed meal of delicious appetizers presented in inspired ways (for instance, lobster martinis were served on a field of blue and purple fuzzy balls and date rumaki was passed on shining black stones) it was time for the piece de resistance – dessert. But where was it? All eyes were on the buffet as it descended. As the music hit its crescendo, the table was delivered directly into the waiting hands of our staff, who in a choreographed movement, released the cable, lit the candles and declared that dessert was served. The inventive feat was met with a round of appreciative applause by our peers and another sweet moment in catering went down in history. |
