Activision SpidermanA raw warehouse in downtown Los Angeles was the site for this press-only prerelease party of Spiderman 2, the game. It's creator and our client, Activision, requested an unforgettable, interactive evening for guests. A 15' spider web of rope, highlighted with Ultra Violet lighting served as the official "front door". Existing warehouse coves were converted into video arcade corners with vintage games like PacMan and Pinball wizard calling this youthful guest list to action! Distracting guests were 2 provocative female dancers dressed as the movie's Cat woman character in the black vinyl cat suits-dancing on platforms and caged in by giant UV spider web walls. Spider-weary guests were haunted by the exposed brick wall central to the party layout-as digital spiders crawled up and down all around throughout the party. Creepy, very creepy. |

Service and Style on a Grand ScaleHow do you feed 15,000 hungry people in an hour? An international corporate event planner knew where to turn for the answer,"Someone's in the Kitchen!" A large German technology company came to L.A. for a major conference and rented the Great Western Forum for a private concert for 15,000. Busloads of guests arrived in waves of 500 at a time, and were offered delectable dining choices ranging from wraps to dim sum to pizza to sausage grills. The grateful event planner, Andrea Michaels, owner of Extraodinary Events later wrote, "The most frequent comment I heard (except for how delicious the food was) was the amazement of all of the guests, including the meeting planners, that they never, ever had to wait in line. How did you do it?" To keep everything flowing smoothly we set up seven different 125-foot-long food stations, brought in five full production kitchens, and provided more than 300 staff. Eight thousand pounds of food were served flawlessly to the delight of both guests and planners. |
